Mit ellipsoid gebogenen Holzkörpern, farbig gefasst und teils mit handgenähtem Kunstleder bespannt inszenieren Fulterer Scherrer Objekte, die Malerei und Skulptur lustvoll kombinieren. Die Acryl-farbe ist partiell lasierend aufgetragen, sodass die Holzstruktur darunter erkennbar bleibt. Das Kunstleder spannt sich wie eine Haut oder Membran über Teile der Objekte und wird mit Nieten am
Holz fixiert. Trotz der Abstraktion ist der Bezug auf den menschlichen Körper, die Assoziation zu Fetisch-Mode spürbar, wenngleich die damit verbundene Intimität verloren geht. Im Zusammenspiel von Linien und Flächen mit den kräftigen (Neon-)Farben strahlen die Objekte – geometrisch und organisch zugleich – Leichtigkeit und Dynamik aus.

Using ellipsoid curved wooden forms, colored and partly covered with hand-sewn artificial leather, Fulterer Scherrer create objects that delightfully combine painting and sculpture. The acrylic paint is partially applied as a glaze, allowing the wood structure under-neath to remain visible. The imitation leather stretches like a skin or membrane over parts of the objects and is fixed to the wood with rivets. Despite the abstraction, the reference to the human body and an association with fetish fashion are noticeable, even if the intimacy associated with it is lost. In the interplay of lines and surfaces with the strong (neon) colors, the objects–geometric and organic at the same time–radiate lightness and dynamism.
